Recall Up Date: 2010 Rolls-Royce Ghost

Rolls-Royce is recalling certain 2010 Ghost sedans due to a potentially overheating water pump circuit board. This is tied to the recall BMW issued pertaining to 32,000 examples of its turbocharged V-8- and V-12-powered models, since the Ghost uses the same 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V-12 as the BMW 760i that has been recalled.

The Problem: The circuit board for the auxiliary water pump in the turbocharged V-12 engine could potentially overheat. If that occurs, it could cause the pump or entire engine to smolder and potentially cause a fire.

The Fix:Rolls-Royce will contact owners later this month to notify them of the campaign. Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the water pump at no cost. Customers can contact Rolls-Royce at 1-877-877-3735.

Number of Vehicles Affected: 589 2010 Rolls-Royce Ghost sedans in the U.S.
